Help....where am I...???!!!!!

Dear followers, apparently Google has changed a few things in relation to blogging, and I can't make any sense out of it!!!
It seems I don't follow any blogs, etc.!!!
Until I find a solution, this may be my last post.  If anyone else is in the same boat, but has found an answer, could you please let me know via a comment below.  Don't get me wrong, apart from the changes for blogging, I still enjoy using Google!
In the meantime, I have enjoyed blogging, and everyones' visits, so if this is to be my last post, thank you for your blogging friendship, and best wishes to all for the future.
Best wishes, and happy crafting,  Jenny

Update.... 11th May:  I have decided to take a break from blogging for a while.  I haven't been doing my usual 'Jaunts', etc. for a while now, so I think a break will be good, and start again fresh.  As I said above, thank you to everyone for your blogging friendship, and maybe I will be back again in the near future.  Until then, best wishes, and happy crafting,  Jenny

I came across this pattern recently, and thought it appropriate to post as Mothers Day approaches.
In the meantime,

Weather for reading....

Hi everyone, I hope
you have had a lovely weekend.
Wet weather is a good excuse for reading :)
Last week I read.....
The Girl Under the Olive Tree
It is set in Crete during WWII.
The time line does travel backwards and forwards from present day, to remembering events during the war, but if you have a chance to read a few chapters at a time, it does 'get you in'!
The book is fiction based on true facts.
I found this one quite interesting, and I'm very pleased to have read it.
I'm definitely going to try another one of Leahs' books!!!
I hope you enjoy this one too.
Let me know what you think. :)
Happy reading, Jenny

Jenny's Jaunts.....

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a lovely Easter.
I know I've been a bit slack with my 'Jenny's Jaunts' this year, although I have done some 'Sew Fine Freebies', but I thought my recent find definitely deserved a 'Jaunt' label!
Thank you Kaaren for such lovely designs.  I hope everyone else enjoys their visit  :)

Reading material.....

Wow!  What can I say about
my most recent read!!

Before I start, have you enjoyed my
posts in the past?
If so, you might like to try

Dead Man's Footsteps

This is the first time I have read any of his books.  The time frame involves the 9/11 tragedy.

I hope this doesn't put people off reading the book.  It is quite an interesting fictional detective mystery.
It travels from England, to U.S.A., and Australia to solve the mystery.
In trying to describe it for you, without giving away too much detail, it does make you feel like goosebumps all over, but not in a gruesome way, more in the suspense of what happens next!
I'm not going to tell you more about it... you will have to read it yourself!

Let me know what you think.  By all forecasts, it's definitely the weather for a good :)
Happy reading,  Jenny

Hi everyone, I hope your day is going well.
As you can see, I have been making some more bags...

...some of these prints you may have seen before...
....but they are great to use :)
The weather here is... wet!!!
With a monsoon building up north, and possibly another cyclone developing, you can only take each day as it comes, and hope to see some sunny weather.... preferrably before
Enjoy your week, and happy crafting,  Jenny :)

Hello everyone,  I hope you are faring well over the weekend.
Given that we are in the early stages of a New Year, I thought you might like to start this years' sewing projects with some new accessories.....
The hard decision is choosing.....  do you like this one , or this one ?  For something completely different, I love this one  :)
I didn't know whether to make this post one of my 'Jenny's Jaunts' posts, so I am adding both labels to it.... I hope you enjoy them.....but while I'm at it, the picture below is also my Chicken Scratch link :)
Happy crafting,  Jenny :)

How to relax when you craft all day.....

Hi everyone, I hope you are all well.
As you know, I do a lot of craft for my shop, so when it comes to relaxing in front of the t.v., I'm still working!
I recently came across a site for a weekly 'yarn along' where you can link what you have been knitting or crocheting during the week, along with a book you might have been reading.
I liked the idea, and wanted to participate, but as I said, I needed a project to relax, and not have a time frame.
I don't do a lot of knitting, so chose it over crocheting, and
decided to 'just knit' :)
I started by casting on  35 stitches...
...and proceeded to do some  garter stitch, which is sometimes referred to as the knit stitch .... date, I  STILL have 35
I haven't worried about my tension, correct needles, or wool - my aim is to relax, and I'd
encourage anyone wanting to try knitting, to just 'give it a go' .... you can worry about your tension, etc. later :)

Before I go, thank you to 'Jellybeankahler' for signing on as a Follower.... I hope you enjoy the journey :)
Have fun, and happy crafting,  Jenny

Just because....

Hi everyone, I hope
you are having a lovely weekend.
Remember quite a while back, I posted about a 'crabby customer' ?
I recently had a 'customer' leap to high bounds trying to get
....if they had waited a few more minutes, I would have had the door open... WAS only about!!

Going to great lengths to meet the challenge.....

Hi everyone, how has your weekend been?
Are you still catching up on Christmas?
Guess what I found under the Christmas tree.....?
a box of Whitman's chocolates ....

celebrating 100 years since the introduction of their 'Sampler' box...

...the enclosed book told the history of the 'Sampler' box....
apparently, the messenger boy chocolate was introduced in 1915, and is solid milk chocolate... no soft centres, or nuts.......
..... I had to be sure.... lol....
The book also tells, a 'Sampler' box is sold every 2 1/2 seconds, and was only meant to last a year.....
.....If I received it Christmas Day 2012, and emptied the box late January 2013, does that
It was interesting to read the booklet, but unfortunately no embroidery pattern included, but the sampler does get a mention in the history of the 'Sampler' box.
I hope you enjoyed your Christmas present too :)

Feeling old.....?

I did when I saw this lovely blog and freebie designed by... a 14 year old!!!!!
The stitch illustrations are clear, and this would be a great project for a beginner, or as refresher course of stitches for any age.
Be sure to visit... so I'm not the only one feeling :)
