 I recently had a 'customer' leap to high bounds trying to get in...lol...

 

....if they had waited a few more minutes, I would have had the door open...

...it WAS only about 7.30am....lol...!!

Going to great lengths to meet the challenge.....

Hi everyone, how has your weekend been? 

Are you still catching up on Christmas?

 

Guess what I found under the Christmas tree.....?

 

a box of Whitman's chocolates .... 

celebrating 100 years since the introduction of their 'Sampler' box...

...the enclosed book told the history of the 'Sampler' box....

apparently, the messenger boy chocolate was introduced in 1915, and is solid milk chocolate... no soft centres, or nuts.......

..... I had to be sure.... lol....

The book also tells, a 'Sampler' box is sold every 2 1/2 seconds, and was only meant to last a year.....

.....If I received it Christmas Day 2012, and emptied the box late January 2013, does that count...lol...?

 

It was interesting to read the booklet, but unfortunately no embroidery pattern included, but the sampler does get a mention in the history of the 'Sampler' box.

 

I hope you enjoyed your Christmas present too :)

Private Message.....NOT !!!! Please read and share.....

Hi everyone, sorry to sound so dramatic, but this week I have been receiving emails from friends with 'Private Message' as the subject....

These emails have NOT come from friends - apparently it is a computer hacking email, so my advice is please   DO NOT open them!!  If you are in doubt, send your friend/s an email or text that they will recognise as coming from you... a true friend will understand your caution.

I found this leaf on my way to work

this morning, and

thought you might like

...no, it not fabric either, it's a

ridgy-didge, real McCoy leaf, from

a real tree..... 

.....there were quite a

few trees in the area, and I'm 

not game enough to narrow

it down to which one, but

it does have similarities

to a gum leaf  :)

Colour your day.....

Hi everyone,

I have just been checking what's new on blogs that I Follow, and along the way have come across some lovely blogs that I haven't seen before....if your day needs some colour, why not have a look at them.........

I started with  Aiken House & Gardens , then clicked the link for 'The House in the Roses' which had
beautiful photos and story line, then clicked the link it had for 'Cottage Home Decorating' which led me to  lovely things  including cottage colours , and more beautiful posts.

Has anyone else seen these sites?  I wouldn't blame anyone for keeping them to themselves, but on an overcast night like tonight, I think we could all do with some colour.
